The National FFA Organization is an intra-curricular student leadership organization in the focus area of Agriculture. To be involved students must be enrolled in either an Agriculture, Agricultural Sciences course, or a Metals/Woodshop course. Students are able to participate in Career Development Events (CDE's) to show their knowledge and skill in a variety of career areas, and are encouraged to participate in student entrepreneurship projects or work based learning. The School barn is available for students to use for short-term projects if they do not have the availability or space at home and students are encouraged to be involved in community service activities throughout the year. Travel, leadership, and scholarship opportunities are abundant. There is also opportunity for parents to become involved in the FFA Alumni, and you do not have to have been in FFA to be involved. The FFA Alumni is essentially a Boosters Club for FFA, and helps to make many of our opportunities possible. Please contact Rachel Swearingen for more information.
